NATO straps: what they are and how to change them
A NATO strap is a single band of woven fabric that threads under the watch. Simple, secure and changed in seconds.

Where the name comes from
The design goes back to a British military strap, catalogued under a NATO stock number. It was built so a watch could never fall off, even if one spring bar failed.
Why they are so comfortable
Woven fabric is light, breathes, and moulds to the wrist. Under the case, the strap keeps metal off your skin.
How to change a NATO strap
Pull the old strap out through both lugs from the top. Thread the new one in at twelve o’clock, under the case, and out at six. Buckle and tuck the end through the keepers. No tools, about twenty seconds.
How to size it
Our straps adjust from 165 to 220 mm. If there is a lot of strap left over, fold the end back under the last keeper for a neat finish.
